We follow Julia Mage’au Gray into the world of Pasifika traditional tattoos and its resurgence within modern-day Australia and New Zealand.

Julia is a skin marker hoping to bring awareness and to reclaim a disappearing tradition. She travels to the rural Inawi Village in Central Province, Papua New Guinea, to meet the last of the Mekeo women that are traditionally marked.
